✨Stop Trying To Do It The “Right Way. AMI stands for A:sana, M:editation and I:nquiry, which are the 3 practices of Baptiste Yoga.⠀ ⠀ The first 2 practices have been shared beautifully by my yoga soul sister @newangleyoga (look at my older posts) and I thought I put my hand in for this (plus because her IG pic didnt suit my feed 😂 I still love you Trish 💕💕💕)⠀ ⠀ The 3rd practice INQUIRY to me is about looking within yourself through journalling and sharing. INQUIRY gives access to self-discovery - the aha moment or the “joke”. You’ll know it when it happens - you will cry, laugh or even react in anger. ⠀ INQUIRY has helped me to understand myself and i have grown to love myself more through this process.⠀ ⠀ I was resistant to it initially - I wasnt brought up to share my feelings. To me my journal was my secret and Crying was a sign of weakness. ⠀ ⠀ AND⠀ ⠀ The hiding I give up is my sadness. I create myself as a powerful, connected and inspired NINJA! That is who I am!⠀ ⠀
So many of us would rather cling to the familiar than risk the unknown. The past is familiar, something we can hold on to, while the future is completely uncharted and feels groundless.
